Ashleigh Harris at ASAUK and ACLALS: Decelerating Fiction and Poetics of Hustling

Ashleigh Harris will be giving two conference papers linked to her research project within the programme in July and September 2016. 

Her paper "Decelerating fiction: slow violence in four African novels" will be presented at the 17th Triennial Conference of the Association for Commonwealth Literature and Language Studies (ACLALS), Stellenbosch University, 10-15 July 2016.

She will then present the paper "Literary form and the poetics of hustling in an African city" on a panel in conversation with Eileen Julien, the African Studies Association of the UK (ASAUK) biennial conference, University of Cambridge (Robinson College) 7-9 September 2016.
